Perched high above Lake Geneva with sweeping views of the Swiss Alps, the historic Ch芒teau d鈥橦auteville is more than Pepperdine鈥檚 newest international campus, it is a place where servant leaders are formed. Surrounded by vineyards, centuries-old trees, formal gardens, and peaceful paths, this extraordinary 90-acre estate offers students a life-changing experience where academic excellence, cultural immersion, and purpose come together, expanding Pepperdine鈥檚 global mission to impact the world.
The Ch芒teau d鈥橦auteville represents a bold investment in the future of global leadership, creating a place where students, scholars, and world leaders come together to learn, collaborate, and inspire meaningful change. Through careful restorations and renovations, the ch芒teau provides transformative international academic experiences, immersing students in cross-cultural learning while equipping them with the knowledge, perspective, and purpose needed to impact communities around the world. The historic 18th-century ch芒teau welcomes an average of 84 undergraduate students and 45 graduate students each semester, expanding Pepperdine鈥檚 international reach and opening new pathways for graduate education, leadership development, and global engagement.
Beyond the classroom, the Ch芒teau d鈥橦auteville serves as a dynamic international hub for conferences, diplomatic summits, retreats, lectures, and conversations that address the challenges and opportunities shaping our world today. More than a Pepperdine international campus, the ch芒teau stands as a living expression of the University鈥檚 mission to prepare students and leaders to serve with compassion, courage, and purpose on a global stage.
The Pepperdine Switzerland program鈥檚 impact reaches far beyond the two semesters I studied there. I cultivated lifelong friendships that I can confidently say will withstand the test of time. The leadership team poured into me spiritually, and the professors taught me invaluable lessons that extend beyond the classroom. My study abroad experience at the ch芒teau was the single most transformative blessing, and I am forever praising God for Pepperdine.
